Hi, I’m Eric Wilbanks
Professor of Tea•ology
First things first, I’m not *actually* a professor, but I do often get asked — by complete strangers, mind you — if I’m a professor somewhere. Whether it’s the handlebar mustache, the big beard, the long hair, or maybe something else, I can’t say for certain. I suppose I just have that look/persona. (I’ve also been asked if I was in the Bee Gees … a different story for a different time. I do enjoy answering that question with a smile and a “Maybe …”) Anyway, I decided to just enthusiastically embrace the idea (‘professor’ not ‘Bee Gees’).
My professional expertise has widely varied over the years, but—strangely enough—has all been beautifully coordinated by God’s providential hand. I’ve worked in radio as a DJ, in pastoral ministry (mostly youth ministry), in the publishing industry as a writer, editor, and product developer, in training & development as an elearning architect, and in brand development and marketing, advising and assisting local, national, and global brands. If you’re really interested in learning more, connect with me on
LinkedIn!
But what I’ve really “poured” myself into over the past decade+ is tea.
[You’ll need to expect and at least tolerate puns, because I do really like them. All the best profs do.]
To be clear, I’m no guru; I just love tea and I love to learn. Maybe more than anything, I love sharing what I learn, because that means—in some small way—I’m helping make your life a little better, and that makes me super happy.
Tea is always best when shared with a friend … and, hopefully, Tea•ology can be part of that experience from this point forward. Here’s to sharing!
